Description

Texas Twinkies Egg Rolls with Honey are a delightful fusion of flavors, combining smoked brisket, creamy cheese, and a kick of jalapeño, all wrapped in a crispy shell and drizzled with honey.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Egg roll wrappers
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups cooked brisket, chopped
  • 2 jalapeños, diced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • Oil for frying
  • Honey for drizzling

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, brisket, jalapeños, and green onions until well combined.
  2. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface, and spoon a portion of the filling onto the center.
  3. Fold the bottom of the wrapper over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll up tightly.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat for frying.
  5. Fry the egg rolls until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Drizzle honey over the hot egg rolls before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the spice level by adding more or fewer jalapeños.
  • Leftover brisket works best for this recipe.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauces for more flavor.
