Ingredients

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs for extra juiciness)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- A pinch of cayenne pepper (optional, for a little heat)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onions and garlic; sauté until softened.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
- Add Parmesan cheese, parsley, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper; stir well.
- Return chicken to the skillet, and coat with the sauce.
- Simmer for 5 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley.

- Serve with rice or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
