Super moist chocolate chip banana bread packed with ripe bananas and rich chocolate chips for a perfect sweet treat.

- 1 & ½ cups (180g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
- ¼ cup (60mL) vegetable oil
- ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 & ½ cups (360g) mashed ripe bananas (about 3–4 medium bananas)
- 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, oil, and sugar until smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla and mashed bananas.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor.
- Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread tender.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
