This Strawberry Honeybun Cake is a delightful dessert that combines the sweetness of strawberries with a moist yellow cake.


Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jello mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry jam
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix yellow cake mix, strawberry jam, strawberry jello mix, vegetable oil, melted butter, eggs, and buttermilk.
  3. Pour half of the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
  4. Spread the remaining strawberry jam over the batter.
  5. Pour the rest of the batter on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, strawberry jam, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl.
  8. Drizzle the glaze over the cake once it cools.
