  • 3 ounce box strawberry gelatin mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ block (4 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, strawberry gelatin, eggs, vegetable oil, and water.
  3. Fold in the fresh or crushed strawberries.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. While the cake cools, prepare the frosting by mixing cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
  7. Once the cake is cool, frost it with the cream cheese frosting.
