A delicious strawberry cake made with fresh strawberries and a creamy frosting.
Ingredients

- 1 pint fresh strawberries (or 1 cup crushed fresh strawberries)
- 15.25 ounce box French vanilla cake mix
- 3 ounce box strawberry gelatin mix
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- ¼ cup water
- ½ block (4 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- ⅓ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, strawberry gelatin, eggs, vegetable oil, and water.
- Fold in the fresh or crushed strawberries.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the cake cools, prepare the frosting by mixing cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
- Once the cake is cool, frost it with the cream cheese frosting.
