Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) steak (sirloin or ribeye), thinly sliced or cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) whole milk
  • 1¼ cups (125 g) grated parmesan cheese
  • Optional: chopped parsley, crushed red pepper flakes, extra black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add steak and cook until browned. Remove from pan.
  4. Add butter to the same pan. Sauté onions and mushrooms until soft.
  5. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and whole milk. Stir to combine.
  7. Add parmesan cheese and mix until melted and smooth.
  8. Return steak to the pan and combine with sauce.
  9. Toss in cooked spaghetti and mix well.
  10. Serve hot, garnished with optional parsley and crushed red pepper flakes.
