Description
A classic Southern dessert made with sweet peaches and a buttery cobbler topping.
Ingredients

- 2 bags Frozen peaches, 20 ounces each
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 cup Brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon Almond extract
- 1/2 tablespoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons Corn starch
- 1 teaspoon Cream of tartar
- 1/2 stick Butter, unsalted, room temperature
- 2 tablespoons Water
- 1 teaspoon Fresh lemon juice
- 2 cups All purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons Baking powder
- 1 tablespoon Cinnamon
- 1 stick Butter, unsalted cold
- 1/4 cup Boiling hot water
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 3 tablespoons Granulated sugar, to dust top of cobbler
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix frozen peaches, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, corn starch, cream of tartar, butter, water, and lemon juice.
- Spread the peach mixture in a baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
- Add boiling water to the flour mixture and stir until combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cobbler topping over the peach mixture.
- Sprinkle reserved cinnamon and granulated sugar on top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve warm with ice cream.
- Adjust sugar based on the sweetness of peaches.
- Use fresh peaches in season for best flavor.
