Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Almond extract
  • 1/2 tablespoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons Corn starch
  • 1 teaspoon Cream of tartar
  • 1/2 stick Butter, unsalted, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cups All purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon
  • 1 stick Butter, unsalted cold
  • 1/4 cup Boiling hot water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 tablespoons Granulated sugar, to dust top of cobbler

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix frozen peaches, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, corn starch, cream of tartar, butter, water, and lemon juice.
  3. Spread the peach mixture in a baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  6. Add boiling water to the flour mixture and stir until combined.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the cobbler topping over the peach mixture.
  8. Sprinkle reserved cinnamon and granulated sugar on top.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.

  • Serve warm with ice cream.
  • Adjust sugar based on the sweetness of peaches.
