Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup smoked cheese, cubed (such as gouda)
- ½ cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined.
- Take a small amount of the mixture and place a cube of smoked cheese in the center.
- Form the meat around the cheese, creating a ball.
- Repeat until all mixture is used.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Brown the meatballs on all sides for about 5 minutes.
- Transfer browned meatballs to a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
