- 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
- 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, plus more for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 thick slices of French or Italian bread
- Garlic butter (made by mixing softened butter with minced garlic and parsley)
Instructions
- Heat 2 tablespoons of butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink.
- Pour in white wine (or broth) and lemon juice, then sprinkle red pepper flakes.
- Cook for a few more minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Meanwhile, prepare garlic bread by spreading garlic butter on bread slices.
- Toast the bread in the oven until golden brown.
- Serve shrimp in bowls, garnished with parsley, alongside garlic bread.
