Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, plus more for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 thick slices of French or Italian bread
  • Garlic butter (made by mixing softened butter with minced garlic and parsley)

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink.
  4. Pour in white wine (or broth) and lemon juice, then sprinkle red pepper flakes.
  5. Cook for a few more minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Meanwhile, prepare garlic bread by spreading garlic butter on bread slices.
  7. Toast the bread in the oven until golden brown.
  8. Serve shrimp in bowls, garnished with parsley, alongside garlic bread.
