- 10 slices of brioche or challah bread
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 6 oz. canned pumpkin
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tbsp. brown sugar
- For the butter:
- 4 tbsp. butter, very softened
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Instructions
- Whisk eggs, milk, pumpkin, vanilla, flour, cinnamon, and brown sugar in a bowl.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Dip each bread slice into the pumpkin mixture, coating both sides.
- Cook on the skillet for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, mix softened butter, cinnamon, brown sugar, and nutmeg for the cinnamon butter.
- Serve French toast warm with a dollop of cinnamon butter.
