  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Mix well.
  3. Transfer the apple mixture to a greased baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, mix the oats, flour, 1/3 cup brown sugar, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
  5. Add the cold butter pieces to the oat mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to combine until crumbly.
  6. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples in the baking dish.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
