Spicy and crispy Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwiches.
Ingredients

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 cups vegetable or peanut oil (for frying)
- 1/2 cup cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 4 brioche buns
- Dill pickle chips (for serving)
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
- Mix flour, cayenne pepper, brown sugar, and smoked paprika in a bowl.
- Coat marinated chicken in the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Assemble sandwiches with fried chicken on brioche buns and add dill pickle chips.
Notes
- Adjust cayenne for desired heat level.
- Serve with coleslaw for added crunch.
