  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper (or black pepper)
  • 2 teaspoons ranch seasoning powder (or more, to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder (divided)
  • 8 ounces white cheddar cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fries according to package instructions or make homemade fries.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Whisk in the flour until smooth and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually add the milk while whisking continually.
  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until it thickens.
