A simple recipe for Greek Chicken Gyros.
Ingredients

- 1 lb chicken breast
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cup tzatziki sauce
- 1 cup chopped lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sliced red onion
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Add chicken breast to the marinade. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Grill or pan-cook the chicken until fully cooked, about 6-7 minutes per side.
- Slice the cooked chicken into strips.
- Warm the pita breads on a grill or in a pan.
- Assemble the gyros by placing chicken, tzatziki, lettuce, tomatoes, and onion in each pita.
- Serve immediately.
