Description

Classic Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread is a moist and flavorful treat that combines ripe bananas and a cinnamon-sugar swirl.


Ingredients

  • 23 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup of butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. of baking soda
  • A little bit of salt
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp. of vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup of sugar for the cinnamon swirl
  • 1 tbsp. of ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas and melted butter.
  3. Add baking soda and salt to the banana mixture.
  4. Stir in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Mix in flour until just combined.
  6. In a small bowl, combine 1/3 cup of sugar with ground cinnamon.
  7. Pour half of the banana batter into a greased loaf pan.
  8. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter.
  9. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  10. Use a knife to swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter.
  11. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  12. Let it cool before slicing.

  • Store the bread in an airtight container.
  • Can be frozen for up to three months.
  • Feel free to add nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
