Delicious cinnamon muffins with a sweet coating.
Ingredients

- 1 ½ cup all purpose flour
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 5 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted, plus more to grease the pan
- 1 egg, room temperature, lightly beaten with a fork
- ½ cup warm milk, low fat or whole milk
- ⅓ cup sugar for coating
- ¾ tsp cinnamon for coating
- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted for coating
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a muffin pan with melted butter.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
- Add melted butter, egg, and warm milk to the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Scoop the batter into the prepared muffin pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- While muffins bake, mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl for the coating.
- Remove muffins from the oven and brush with melted butter.
- Coat muffins in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for freshness.
- Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
- Adjust sugar in the coating to taste.
