Description

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
  • For the Ziti and Chicken
  • 12 ounces ziti or penne pasta
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking chicken, if needed)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • For Assembly
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti or penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg.
  5. In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, shredded chicken, olive oil, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  6. Pour the Alfredo sauce over the pasta mixture and stir until evenly coated.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Top with mozzarella and additional Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
