- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cups whole milk (warm)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
- 4 large flour tortillas (burrito-size)
- Butter or oil for toasting
- Optional: baby spinach, sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, crushed red pepper flakes, chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add chicken strips, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until chicken is cooked through.
- In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in warm milk. Stir until the mixture thickens.
- Add mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Mix until melted and smooth.
- Spread chicken filling onto each tortilla. Add garlic cheese sauce and any optional toppings.
- Wrap tortillas tightly and toast them in a skillet with butter or oil until golden brown.
