Description
A delicious caramel apple pecan cobbler that combines the sweetness of apples, the crunch of pecans, and a rich caramel sauce.

- 9 apples, peel, core and slice (I used Granny Smith)
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- ¾ cup butter (1½ sticks)
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- ⅔ cup brown sugar
- ⅔ cup sugar
- 3 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, cut into small pieces
- ⅔ cup boiling water
- 3 tablespoon sugar (for additional topping)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for additional topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix sliced apples with brown sugar, sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, and chopped pecans.
- Spread the apple mixture in a greased baking dish.
- In a saucepan, melt butter for the caramel sauce over medium heat.
- Add light brown sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to the melted butter. Stir until combined.
- Pour the caramel sauce over the apple mixture in the baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add small pieces of butter and mix until crumbly.
- Stir in boiling water until well combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the topping over the apple filling.
- Mix additional sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and sprinkle over the topping.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.
Notes
- Serve warm with ice cream for added flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
