A simple and delicious dessert featuring layers of apple pie filling, caramel, and yellow cake mix.
Ingredients

- 2 20-ounce cans apple pie filling
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cups Kraft caramels, unwrapped and cut in half
- 1 box dry yellow cake mix
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, cut into 1/4 inch thick pats
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Spread the apple pie filling in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the ground cinnamon and nutmeg over the apple filling.
- Evenly distribute the cut caramels over the apple filling.
- Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix on top of the caramels.
- Place the butter pats evenly on top of the cake mix.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
