- 2 cups apples peeled and cut into 1/2 inch cubes
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg (optional)
- 1 and 1/2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 and 1/2 cups hot water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix apples, 1 cup brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour into a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine self-rising flour, granulated sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the cobbler mixture over the apples in the baking dish.
- In a saucepan, mix 1 cup brown sugar with hot water to create the sauce.
- Pour the sauce over the cobbler mixture.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.

- Use any type of apples you prefer.
