  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup corn syrup or maple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract; mix well.
  4. Gradually add the flour and salt; stir until combined.
  5. In another bowl, mix the pecan filling ingredients until well combined.
  6. Form the cookie dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  7. Make a small indentation in the center of each ball.
  8. Fill each indentation with the pecan filling.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until cookies are lightly golden.
  10. Allow to cool before serving.
