Creamy Boursin Mac and Cheese with a crunchy topping.
Ingredients

- 8 oz short pasta (such as macaroni, shells, or similar)
- 1 round boursin cheese
- 1 cup grated white cheddar cheese, packed
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (for topping)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat.
- Add flour and whisk for 1-2 minutes.
- Slowly pour in heavy cream and milk, whisking continuously.
- Stir in boursin cheese and cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add cooked pasta to the cheese sauce and mix well.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Transfer the mac and cheese to a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with 2 tbsp melted butter.
- Spread breadcrumb mixture on top of the mac and cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add garlic or herbs to the cheese sauce.
- Substitute the pasta with gluten-free options if needed.
