Description
Delicious blackened shrimp tacos with a fresh slaw.
Ingredients

- 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 small corn or flour tortillas
- 2 cups of shredded green cabbage
- 1 cup of shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup of fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/4 cup of mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons of lime juice
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Add shrimp to the spice mix and toss to coat evenly.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until blackened and cooked through.
- In another bowl, mix cabbage, carrots, cilantro, mayonnaise, lime juice, salt, and pepper to make the slaw.
- Warm tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave.
- Assemble tacos by placing shrimp in tortillas and topping with slaw.
Notes
- Adjust cayenne for desired spice level.
- Use fresh lime juice for best flavor.
- Store leftover slaw separately.
