- 1½ cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup full-fat sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1 cup mashed bananas (about 3 bananas)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened (for frosting)
- 8 oz full-fat cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar.
- Add in the eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the mashed bananas.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely before frosting.
- For the cream cheese frosting, beat together the butter and cream cheese until smooth.
- Add vanilla extract, powdered sugar, and whipping cream. Beat until fluffy.
- Spread the frosting over the cooled cake and serve.
