- 1 ½ cups (300 g) granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons apple pie spice
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 ¼ cups apple cider, or apple juice
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- Topping
- ¼ cup apple cider
- ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons apple pie spice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, apple pie spice, and salt.
- Add apple cider, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While baking, prepare the topping by heating ¼ cup apple cider in a small saucepan.
- Mix sugar and apple pie spice in a shallow dish.
- Once baked, brush warm loaf with apple cider, then roll in the spiced sugar mixture.
- Cool before slicing.
