Ingredients
- Apples — 2 large, firm varieties like Honeycrisp, Gala, or Fuji
- All-purpose flour — ½ cup
- Egg — 1 large
- Milk — ½ cup
- Breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes — ½ cup
- Sugar — 3 tablespoons
- Ground cinnamon — 1½ teaspoons
- Salt — a pinch
- Cooking spray — as needed
Instructions
- Core and slice the apples into rings.
- In one bowl, mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg and milk together.
- Dip each apple ring into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally into the breadcrumbs or cornflakes.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Place the apple rings in the basket in a single layer.
- Air fry at 350°F for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove and let cool slightly before serving.
