Ingredients

  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup caramel sauce plus extra for drizzling
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add vanilla extract and the dry ingredients to the egg mixture. Mix well.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in a greased baking pan.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool for a few minutes, then roll it gently in a kitchen towel.
  8. In a separate bowl, whip the cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  9. Unroll the cake, spread caramel and whipped cream on top, sprinkle chocolate chips, and roll it back up.
  10. Drizzle with extra caramel sauce before serving.
