This Turtle Caramel Chocolate Cake Roll combines rich chocolate cake with creamy caramel and chocolate layers.

- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ cup caramel sauce plus extra for drizzling
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla extract and the dry ingredients to the egg mixture. Mix well.
- Spread the batter evenly in a greased baking pan.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool for a few minutes, then roll it gently in a kitchen towel.
- In a separate bowl, whip the cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Unroll the cake, spread caramel and whipped cream on top, sprinkle chocolate chips, and roll it back up.
- Drizzle with extra caramel sauce before serving.
Notes
- Make sure the cake is completely cooled before rolling.
- Use a sharp knife to slice for clean edges.
