Delicious Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie with rich chocolate and crunchy pecans.

- 1 store-bought pie crust (or homemade)
- 1 egg white lightly beaten (for brushing)
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips semi-sweet or bittersweet
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 ½ cups pecan halves toasted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the pie crust in a pie dish and brush with beaten egg white.
- Melt the chocolate chips in a bowl over simmering water or in the microwave.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Stir in the melted chocolate until combined.
- Add the toasted pecans to the filling mixture and mix well.
- Pour the filling into the prepared crust.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set.
- Let the pie cool before slicing.

- Serve with whipped cream for extra flavor.
