  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional seasonings: garlic powder, paprika, or any favorite spices

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add diced onion and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and half of the shredded cheese.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  7. Arrange tater tots evenly on top.
  8. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the tater tots.
