Description

A creamy and savory dip made with mushrooms and cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until softened.
  4. Add garlic and sauté for another minute.
  5. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, salt, pepper, and thyme or parsley.
  6. Stir in the cooked mushrooms and garlic.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
  8. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  10. Serve warm with chips or bread.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
  • Can be made ahead of time and baked before serving.
