Description

A refreshing and sweet salad with a crunchy texture and fruity flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 4 cups sliced strawberries
  • 2 8 oz packages cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 16 oz Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine crushed pretzels, chopped pecans, brown sugar, and melted butter.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes, then let it cool.
  5. In another bowl, mix cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  7. Layer sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese layer.
  8. Spread Cool Whip over the strawberries.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For best flavor, use fresh strawberries.
  • You can substitute walnuts for pecans.
  • This salad can be made a day in advance.
