Description

A flavorful dip combining the sweetness of cranberries with the heat of jalapenos.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 5 green onions (thinly sliced)
  • 1 jalapeno (seeded and finely minced for less heat)
  • 1 cup sugar (I use Dixie Crystals)
  • 12 oz fresh cranberries (for best color and flavor)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 (8 oz) packs cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
  • crackers for serving (such as Ritz or Wheat Thins)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add sugar, lemon juice, cumin, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Stir in cranberries, jalapeno, cilantro, and green onions.
  4. Transfer to a serving dish and chill for at least one hour.
  5. Serve with crackers.
