Description

A flavorful dish combining spicy Cajun-seasoned chicken with a creamy honey butter sauce served over pasta.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz fettuccine (or pasta of choice)
  • Reserved pasta water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
  2. Season diced chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook chicken until browned and fully cooked, about 5-6 minutes. Set aside.
  4. In the same pan, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Stir in honey and heavy cream, simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Add cooked pasta and chicken to the sauce. Toss well, adding reserved pasta water as needed to thin the sauce.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning for more or less heat.
  • Substitute half-and-half for heavy cream if desired.
  • Use any pasta shape you prefer.
