Description
Spicy Bayou Deviled Eggs are a flavorful twist on the classic recipe, featuring a spicy filling and crispy breading.

- 12 hard-boiled eggs, peeled & halved lengthwise
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 tbsp dill pickle relish
- 2 tsp yellow mustard
- 1–1 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 2–3 dashes hot sauce
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 cups Panko breadcrumbs
- 2 1/2 tsp gumbo file powder
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, dill pickle relish, yellow mustard, Cajun seasoning, and hot sauce.
- Scoop out yolks from boiled eggs and add to the mixture. Stir until smooth.
- Fill egg whites with the yolk mixture.
- Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and Panko breadcrumbs.
- Dip each filled egg in flour, then in beaten eggs, and finally in breadcrumbs.
- Place breaded eggs on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning based on your spice preference.
- For a crunchier texture, fry instead of baking.
