  • 1 cup uncooked old-fashioned oats
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons banana extract (optional)
  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted
  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, self-rising flour, butter, oats, and pecans for the topping.
  3. In another bowl, combine the self-rising flour, sugar, milk, banana extract, and melted butter for the filling.
  4. Add the sliced bananas to the filling mixture and stir gently.
  5. Pour the filling into a greased baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the filling.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
