Description

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened (for frosting)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for frosting consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, and red food coloring. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the filling.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the cinnamon filling evenly on top.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and cut it into rolls.
  8. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. For the frosting, beat cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
  11. Spread frosting over warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
