This Pizza Soup captures all the flavors of your favorite pizza in a comforting bowl.
Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, finely diced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1 can (14 oz / 400g) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 4 oz pepperoni, quartered
- 4 cups chicken stock
- 6–8 fresh basil leaves
- 4 oz mozzarella cheese, grated
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add Italian sausage and cook until browned.
- Add onion, green bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté until softened.
- Stir in oregano, basil, and marjoram.
- Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and sugar. Mix well.
- Pour in chicken stock and bring to a boil.
- Add pepperoni and fresh basil leaves.
- Simmer for 20 minutes.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Serve hot, topped with mozzarella cheese.

- You can substitute turkey sausage for a lighter option.
