- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 thick slices sturdy bread such as sourdough or Italian
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
- 24 thin slices pepperoni
Instructions
- Mix butter, parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt in a bowl to make garlic butter.
- Spread garlic butter on one side of each bread slice.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Place 4 bread slices butter-side down in the skillet.
- Top each bread slice with mozzarella, pizza sauce, and pepperoni.
- Cover with the remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
- Cook until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until cheese melts.
- Remove from heat, slice, and serve hot.
Notes
- Use fresh mozzarella for better melt.
- Adjust pepperoni quantity to taste.
- Serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
