- 1/2 cup yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 6 slices frozen garlic Texas toast
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the instructions for the garlic toast.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until softened.
- Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook until heated through.
- While the beef mixture cooks, prepare the garlic toast in the oven.
- Once the garlic toast is crispy, remove it from the oven.
- Top each slice of garlic toast with the beef mixture.
- If desired, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and return to the oven until melted.
- Serve immediately.
