- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp peppermint extract
- 2 cups whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
- A few drops red food coloring (optional, for a pink swirl look)
- ½ cup crushed candy canes (plus extra for topping)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and peppermint extract. Mix until combined.
- Fold in the whipped topping until well blended.
- If desired, add red food coloring for a pink swirl effect.
- Gently fold in crushed candy canes.
- Spoon the filling into the chocolate cookie crust and smooth the top.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Before serving, top with extra crushed candy canes.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- For a stronger peppermint flavor, increase the peppermint extract.
