  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup Marsala wine
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and thyme, then cook until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté mushrooms and garlic until tender.
  5. Add orzo pasta and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Pour in Marsala wine and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  7. Simmer until orzo is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  8. Stir in heavy cream and return chicken to the skillet.
  9. Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
