- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 cup Marsala wine
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and thyme, then cook until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté mushrooms and garlic until tender.
- Add orzo pasta and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Pour in Marsala wine and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
- Simmer until orzo is tender and liquid is absorbed.
- Stir in heavy cream and return chicken to the skillet.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
