  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • For the pumpkin bread:
  • 1 can (15 oz) pure pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • For the glaze:
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. In a bowl, mix all the streusel topping ingredients until crumbly.
  4. In another bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla, and milk.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the streusel topping evenly over it.
  8. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and maple syrup until smooth.
  11. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread before serving.
