Description
A low-carb twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, this casserole combines ground beef, bell peppers, onions, and plenty of cheese for a hearty and satisfying meal.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 large bell peppers (green, red, or a mix), diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (1 package) cream cheese
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 oz provolone cheese, sliced
- 1½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and bell peppers. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Drain excess fat from the skillet.
- Stir in cream cheese and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
- Layer provolone cheese slices on top.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the provolone.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef to reduce excess fat.
- For extra flavor, add mushrooms or jalapeños.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
