Description

A fusion dish combining Korean flavors with a classic cheesesteak.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup kimchi, chopped
  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 cup bell peppers (any color), sliced
  • 4 slices provolone or American cheese
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • Optional: minced garlic and sugar for marinade

Instructions

  1. Marinate beef with soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and sugar if using for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add marinated beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add onions and bell peppers to the skillet and cook until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Stir in chopped kimchi and cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Top the mixture with cheese and cover until melted.
  7. Serve on a hoagie roll or plate.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less kimchi.
  • For extra flavor, grill the hoagie rolls before serving.
