Delicious fried shrimp coated in a spicy honey sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  2. In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk together.
  3. Dip shrimp into the egg mixture, then coat with the flour mix.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry shrimp in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes each side.
  6. In a small saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, butter, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Heat until melted and combined.
  7. Toss fried shrimp in the hot honey sauce.
  8. Serve immediately.
