Ingredients

  • 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
  • Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix honey, pineapple juice, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Remove salmon from the marinade and reserve the marinade for glazing.
  5. Grill or bake the salmon for about 6-8 minutes on each side, brushing with reserved marinade.
  6. Once cooked, garnish with cilantro and serve with lime wedges.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey.
  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the marinade.
  • Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or rice.
