A delicious and easy recipe for Honey BBQ Chicken Rice that combines savory chicken with sweet honey and tangy BBQ sauce.

- 1 lb boneless chicken breast or thighs, diced
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ cup BBQ sauce
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp BBQ sauce (optional, for flavor boost)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add diced chicken and season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook until chicken is no longer pink.
- Stir in BBQ sauce and honey. Cook for another 3-5 minutes, until well coated.
- In a separate pot, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add rice to the pot and stir for 1-2 minutes.
- Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Once rice is cooked, fluff with a fork and add chicken mixture on top. Serve warm.
