Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 6 sausage patties cooked and flattened
  • 6 eggs scrambled or fried
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • Optional: Sharp cheddar cheese, turkey sausage, hot honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add milk, egg, melted butter, and maple syrup. Stir until combined.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased muffin tin.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Cook sausage patties and flatten them.
  7. Scramble or fry eggs.
  8. Assemble muffins: add sausage, egg, and cheese between two muffins.

Notes

  • For a stronger flavor, add sharp cheddar cheese.
  • Use turkey sausage for a lighter option.
