Hawaiian Huli Huli Chicken is a flavorful grilled dish with a sweet and savory marinade.
Ingredients

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup pineapple juice
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, pineapple juice, ketchup, vegetable oil, ginger, garlic, rice vinegar, and black pepper.
- Place chicken thighs in a ziplock bag and pour the marinade over them.
- Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from marinade and discard the marinade.
- Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes.
- Garnish with chopped green onion and sesame seeds, if desired.
Notes
- For best flavor, marinate the chicken overnight.
- Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of the chicken thighs.
- Serve with rice or a fresh salad.
