Description

Hawaiian Huli Huli Chicken is a flavorful grilled dish with a sweet and savory marinade.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, pineapple juice, ketchup, vegetable oil, ginger, garlic, rice vinegar, and black pepper.
  2. Place chicken thighs in a ziplock bag and pour the marinade over them.
  3. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Remove chicken from marinade and discard the marinade.
  6. Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  7. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onion and sesame seeds, if desired.
